Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority is established

The NSIA was established to manage Nigeria's sovereign wealth fund, with stabilization, infrastructure, and intergenerational savings mandates. It was part of an attempt to move oil-revenue management beyond the politically vulnerable Excess Crude Account.
