MOSOP turns Ogoni grievances into a global issue

The Movement for the Survival of the Ogoni People adopted the Ogoni Bill of Rights and mobilized around oil pollution, minority rights, and political self-determination. By January 1993, mass Ogoni rallies had drawn international attention to the Niger Delta before the later executions of the Ogoni Nine.
