Alleged

Abdulkadir Kure

Third civilian Governor of Niger State (PDP, 1999–2007). In April 2016, the EFCC detained and grilled him over an alleged ₦600 million contract awarded by Sambo Dasuki's Office of the National Security Adviser ("Dasukigate"); his company was reportedly among 300 firms indicted by a presidential panel. No arraignment or conviction was reported, and there is no public update after 2016. Kure introduced Sharia law in Niger State in May 2000 — a contentious policy shift rather than a corruption finding. Died in Germany on 8 January 2017.
