Abdulrasheed Bawa (EFCC Chairman)

Became EFCC Chairman in 2021. Allegedly received attempted bribe of $350,000 cash from Godswill Akpabio on April 12, 2021. SaharaReporters reported Akpabio was detained for two hours at EFCC headquarters during the incident; Akpabio's office denied bribery allegation and characterized meeting as discussion of NDDC fund transfers. Sources indicate Abubakar Malami (Attorney General) arranged the meeting.
