Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke
Ademola Adeleke, sitting PDP Governor of Osun State (inaugurated 27 November 2022 after defeating Gboyega Oyetola in the 16 July 2022 election), is the subject of allegations published by PM News in April 2026 stemming from a January 2026 forensic audit by Sally Tibbot Consulting Limited that flagged 8,448 ghost workers and 6,713 ghost pensioners draining ₦1.14 billion monthly (₦13.7 billion annually) from the Osun State civil service payroll. APC chieftain Hon. Quassim Shittu called for Adeleke's resignation. The Osun State Government formally rejected the audit, alleging a re-verification exercise found only 543 ghost workers and 773 ghost pensioners and accusing the consultant of inflating figures to secure a ₦2 billion commission. The audit covered January–June 2023 and January–June 2024 — straddling both the Oyetola and Adeleke administrations. ICPC confirmed receiving intelligence; EFCC had not publicly acknowledged the petitions as of April 2026. No charges have been filed. Separately, Adeleke himself is the petitioner (not the accused) in the March 2025 EFCC petition against his predecessor Oyetola over alleged $20m / ₦1.5bn fraud. Status: `alleged`.
