Ahmad Adamu Mu'azu
Ahmad Adamu Mu'azu (often catalogued as "Adamu Mu'azu" — note the existing `data/looters/nodes.json` id is `adamu_muazu` while the corpus folder is `ahmad_mu_azu` and the editor must reconcile) is a Nigerian quantity surveyor and politician who served as Governor of Bauchi State on the PDP platform from 29 May 1999 to 29 May 2007. ABU Zaria B.Sc. Quantity Surveying (1983) and MBA (1984); pre-political career with the Bauchi State Ministry of Housing, Environment, and Rural Development and his own consultancy A.A. Mu'azu & Co. Dubbed "Game Changer" for his administration's infrastructure, education-reform, and rural-electrification programmes. He served as **PDP National Chairman (March 2014 – February 2015)**, presiding over the party's 2014–2015 internal crisis that included the "New PDP" splinter, the G7/G5 defections to the APC (Nyako/Wamakko/Lamido/Kwankwaso/Aliyu/Goje), and the 2015 general election loss that brought Muhammadu Buhari to power. **The substantive corruption matter:** the EFCC opened an investigation into Mu'azu's Bauchi tenure circa 2007–2008 alleging the diversion of ~₦19.8 billion in Bauchi-State funds; reporting from 2008 noted that the EFCC reportedly struggled to locate him for questioning. In August 2014, after Mu'azu publicly claimed the EFCC had cleared him, the agency issued a contrary public statement explicitly confirming he remained under investigation. **No formal arraignment, charge, or conviction has been recorded in the corpus or in any subsequent reporting** — the EFCC investigation appears to have lapsed without prosecution.
