Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri

Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri (b. 27 October 1967, Gulak, Madagali LGA, Adamawa State) is the **current (sitting) Governor of Adamawa State** since 29 May 2019, re-elected in 2023, on the PDP platform. Previously Speaker of the Adamawa State House of Assembly (2011–2015) for Madagali constituency, and **Acting Governor for three months (July 2014 – October 2014)** during the brief constitutional interregnum between Murtala Nyako's 15 July 2014 impeachment and the swearing-in of Deputy Governor Bala Ngilari on 8 October 2014.
