Chukwuemeka Ezeife

First civilian Governor of Anambra State in the Third Republic (Jan 1992 – Nov 1993, SDP), Harvard-trained economist and former Permanent Secretary known as "Okwadike of Igbo-Ukwu." Tenure cut short by the Abacha coup. Later Presidential Adviser on Political Matters under Obasanjo. The 2006 FCDA bulldozing of his Abuja house over alleged improper land acquisition was a land-administration dispute, not a corruption finding. No EFCC/ICPC charges or convictions on record. Died 14 December 2023, aged 86.
