Convicted in March 2026 on nine counts of money laundering and sentenced to 72 years without option of fine for offences committed 2019–2021 while Director of Finance and Accounts at the Ministry of Defence. On 13 May 2026 Justice James Omotosho granted EFCC's motion for the final forfeiture of all assets identified as proceeds of the crime, including ₦1.94bn in stock holdings and a ₦64m Abuja property.
