Douye Diri
Senator Douye Diri has served as the 12th Governor of Bayelsa State since 14 February 2020 (PDP), sworn in after the Supreme Court nullified the 2019 election of APC candidate David Lyon over a deputy-candidate certificate forgery — earning Diri the nickname "Miracle Governor." He was re-elected in November 2023 and sworn in for a second term on 14 February 2024. The corpus surfaces no credible personal corruption proceeding against him: both `corruption_cases.json` entries are anti-corruption-themed EFCC social-media posts in which Diri appears favourably (commending the EFCC; participating in an NDDC fund-recovery event). Recommend `contextual` for the Bayelsa archive. A 2021 Murtala Muhammed Airport security-checkpoint incident referenced in `index.md` is a procedural/etiquette controversy, not a corruption finding.
