Ibrahim Sani Abacha

Eldest son of General Sani Abacha; died January 1996 in a plane crash. Named in US DOJ civil-forfeiture filings as a co-conspirator in the Abacha-era security-votes fraud and the offshore-company setup with Atiku Bagudu — alleged to have participated in the conspiracy to steal and launder hundreds of millions from the Nigerian government. Death occurred mid-conspiracy; the conspiracy continued under his younger brother Mohammed Abacha.
