Ibrahim Idris
Civilian Governor of Kogi State 2003–2012 (PDP), a businessman ("Ibro") known for the Grand Ibro Hotels chain and other ventures. His near-nine-year tenure was interrupted in February 2008 when the Supreme Court annulled his election; he was reinstated in April 2008 after a fresh poll. In December 2012, the EFCC interrogated him for six hours over alleged acquisition of 10 luxury properties — including a hotel chain — with public funds during his tenure, following a petition led by Dino Melaye; the EFCC examined his asset declarations. In July 2015 Kogi youth groups petitioned the EFCC alleging he embezzled ₦56 billion over his administration. No formal charges or arraignment have been reported in the imported corpus.
