Idris Wada
Third civilian Governor of Kogi State (January 2012 – January 2016), retired pilot and founder of EAS Airlines, elected on the PDP platform with the support of his predecessor and kinsman Ibrahim Idris. In November 2017 the EFCC detained him at its Abuja headquarters after tracing ₦500 million to him as allegedly part of the ₦23 billion (~$115 million) election-bribery slush fund disbursed by former Petroleum Minister Diezani Alison-Madueke through the Jonathan Campaign Director of Finance, Senator Nenadi Usman, to influence the 2015 presidential election. He has not been charged in the imported corpus. He defected from the PDP to the APC after leaving office.
