John Odigie Oyegun

First civilian Governor of Edo State (Jan 1992 – Nov 1993, SDP) during the aborted Third Republic; founding APC National Chairman (2014–2018) who steered the party to its first presidential win in 2015. In 2017 a Tinubu-aligned APC faction petitioned the EFCC alleging financial mismanagement at the national secretariat; EFCC visited but filed no charges, and the dispute culminated in his replacement by Adams Oshiomhole. Generally regarded as one of Nigeria's cleaner senior politicians.
