General Lucky Irabor (Rtd)

General Lucky Eluonye Onyenuchea Irabor (Rtd) is a retired Nigerian Army general who served as Chief of Defence Staff under President Muhammadu Buhari from 26 January 2021 to 19 June 2023. A DSS witness later told a Federal High Court hearing that a multi-agency hostage-negotiation committee handling the 28 March 2022 Abuja-Kaduna train attack response was supervised by the then-CDS; the testimony also alleged that Tukur Muhammad Mamu later operated as the sole interlocutor with the captors.
