Arrested by ICPC on or about 18 February 2026; arraigned 13 April 2026 on a 9-count Kaduna State High Court charge over severance overpayments and abuse of office; a parallel 10-count FHC Kaduna charge over alleged money laundering filed under suit FHC/KD/93C/2026 names co-defendants Joel Adoga, Jimi Lawal and Darwish Mohammad. On 17 April 2026 the ICPC filed a third batch of 11 counts at the Federal High Court Kaduna over a ₦10.8bn Kaduna CCTV project, naming Jimi Lawal and IHS Towers executives among co-defendants and citing Singularity Network Security Limited.
