Ibrahim Saminu Turaki

Former Governor of Jigawa State (1999-2007). Arraigned by EFCC in July 2007 on a 32-count charge of allegedly stealing N36 billion of Jigawa State funds, with the prosecution alleging a single-day diversion of N6 billion. The case is cited in Okpaga et al. (2012) as another exemplar of the 2007 arraignment wave where 'nothing is being said about the charge' after the sensational filing.
