Umo Eno

Umo Bassey Eno (b. 27 September 1964) has been Governor of Akwa Ibom State since 29 May 2023 (PDP), the third successive PDP governor of the state in the Akpabio → Udom Emmanuel → Eno succession chain (although his party alignment with the Tinubu federal APC government has been politically ambiguous through 2024–2025). Before politics he was a hotelier (Royalty Group of Hotels) and pastor, and served briefly as Commissioner for Lands & Water Resources under Udom Emmanuel.
