Adeyemi Raphael Adaramodu
Senator, Ekiti South (Senatorial) · APC
Senator Adeyemi Raphael Adaramodu (APC, Ekiti South) entered the 10th Senate on 13 June 2023 after defeating long-serving incumbent Biodun Olujimi of the PDP with 63,189 votes to 36,191. He chairs the Senate Committee on Media and Public Affairs and simultaneously serves as Senate spokesman, making him the institutional voice of the upper chamber on public and media matters. His traceable legislative record includes sponsorship of the NYSC Trust Fund Bill (passed third reading, March 2024) and the AI, Innovation and Communication Technology Solutions Centre Bill (S.B. 763, passed second reading, November 2025), both of which carry constituency resonance. Constituency delivery is partial: a facilitated ultramodern market in Ilawe-Ekiti is on record, while residents of Emure Local Government formally complained of marginalisation and project neglect as at July 2025. No formal written manifesto for his 2023 campaign has been located in the public record, limiting the promises axis. A March 2026 suit before the Federal High Court, Ado-Ekiti, seeks to compel Adaramodu under the Freedom of Information Act to account for his stewardship; a separate Sahara Reporters story in the same month reported lawyers seeking his suspension over an alleged assault and unlawful detention of a 22-year-old, matters that are treated here as alleged pending any court determination. The overall record across three years is mixed: measurable legislative activity above the Senate median for a first-term senator, partial constituency delivery, and conduct-related allegations that have not been adjudicated.
This grade rates performance in office, not any person’s guilt. Criminal matters appear above only as their court status. How we grade.
