Emmanuel Chibuzor Nwachukwu
Senator, Anambra South (Senatorial) · APGA
Chief Emmanuel Chibuzor Nwachukwu (also styled Emma Nwachukwu), the APGA senator representing Anambra South, was sworn into the 10th Senate on 8 October 2025 following a landslide by-election victory on 16 August 2025 in which he polled 90,408 votes, more than 70,000 ahead of the APC runner-up. His tenure to date covers roughly eight months. On the legislative axis, he sponsored at least one floor motion adopted by the Senate -- the rehabilitation of the Okija Spur-Ihembosi-Ukpor-Ebenator-Ezinifite Road, where a bridge collapsed in March 2025 -- and has engaged the Ministry of Power and the Transmission Company of Nigeria over the long-stalled Nnewi substation upgrade. On constituency delivery, he has publicly advocated for federal road and erosion-control intervention in Anambra South; no independently verified completed projects are on record within his short tenure. On promises, he entered office pledging to honour late Senator Ifeanyi Ubah's unfinished projects, champion youth empowerment, and prioritise industrial transformation; granular delivery evidence is thin at this early stage. On integrity, no criminal charges or formal investigations have been recorded against him, he has remained on his APGA ticket without defection, and he successfully defended his election victory at the election tribunal and Appeal Court. The Ohanaeze Ndigbo praised his early advocacy work in early 2026. Given his very short tenure and the limited independent verification of project delivery, the card is graded on the evidence available.
No court or anti-graft case on public record in this archive as of compilation. Absence of a record is not a clearance.
This grade rates performance in office, not any person’s guilt. Criminal matters appear above only as their court status. How we grade.
